Village of Lena Lighting Up for the Holidays
Lena – The “Village of Lights” preparation is underway at the Village of Lena. The Holiday kickoff is scheduled for Sunday, November 30 starting at 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. Linda Earley Hinds is spearheading the project to help bring awareness of the local businesses and the Village. The kickoff is starting with a holiday movie and popcorn at the Lena Public Library. Santa is taking time out of his busy schedule to visit Lena at the Village Hall at 5 p.m. arriving by Fire Truck so the reindeer can rest up for Christmas Eve. Local businesses and clubs are sponsoring specials and there is a “Village of Lights” game board that if you visit all the participating businesses and get your card “punched” you have a chance to win a $100 gift card to help with your holiday shopping. Also caroling, Christmas trees, wreath and poinsettia sales and much more will help to make this event extra special. “We are hoping the residents as well as the businesses will decorate in support of this event” stated Linda. The public is welcome to enjoy our Holiday Spirit. For more information please call the Village Hall at 920-829-5226.
