Utility/Public Works Operator – The Village of Lena is seeking applicants for the Utility/Public Works Operator position. This position will be primarily responsible for coordinating and performing wastewater plant and system operations but also includes performing maintenance of Village streets, associated infrastructures, systems, and services. Candidates should be self-motivated, mechanically inclined, able to learn various aspects of municipal operations, keep accurate records, prepare required paperwork and have the ability to interact with the public. Computer skills are necessary.

Applicants must hold a High School Degree or equivalent and a CDL and be willing to obtain a Grade 1 wastewater license with activated sludge, disinfection & laboratory, as well as a Grade 1 water license with groundwater & distribution. Ideally, the employee will live within 30 minutes of the Village limits.
