 Lena to Hold National Night Out  August 5th, 2014

 The Lena Police Department is holding National Night Out in Lena for individuals and families.

 Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the St. Anne Parish Church Grounds

Free and open to the entire community!

 National Night Out is a national event held around the United States every year to take a stance on crime and drug prevention. It’s an event for families and neighbors to come together to get to know one another and to help keep communities safe.

 Events for Lena’s National Night Out will include Eagle 3 Flight Helicopter, Oconto County Sheriff’s Dept. K-9 presentation, Tae Kwon Do demo, and Lena Fire Dept. presentation. Also, Lena Police Officer Adam Waeghe will perform a field sobriety test using unique “Fatal Vision Goggles”. On display will be a Lena Police vehicle, Wisconsin State Trooper vehicle, DNR/Forestry vehicle with Smokey the Bear, a Lena fire truck and an Oconto Falls ambulance. Activities include a Coloring Contest, a chance to win a new bike with bike helmet, free food, cupcakes, a huge inflatable bounce house, jousting bouncer for the older kids, face painting, tattoos, and other games. Also, informational booths provided by Oconto County Services, and special games provided by the Lena Friends of the Library committee. Lena High School’s National Honor Society will be operating a dunk tank and other games. Come down and win some great prizes!
