Municipal Utility Operator/Street Superindendent

The Village of Lena, WI (population 590) is accepting applications for the position of Water Systems Operator/Street Superintendent. This full time position will involve day-to-day operation, maintenance and repair of the Water System and Street Department. This position will also include additional duties in other Village Departments, including the Waste Water Treatment Department.  The ideal candidate will need to be self-motivated and be able to work in a collaborative team environment. Leadership skills, multi-tasking, analytical trouble shooting, mechanical maintenance skills and working knowledge of maintenance systems, and computer skills are required. This position requires excellent customer service and communications skills. Applicant must have, or have the ability to obtain certifications in water and wastewater treatment and a CDL. Must be able to work at elevated heights, in varying weather conditions and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. The individual must be capable of responding to emergency calls within a 20 minute window.  Wages are dependent on experience and education. The Village of Lena offers a full benefit package. Holiday and alternating weekend work may be required.
