Lena’s Taste of Fall Saturday October 1st

Lena – Saturday October 1st 9 a.m. Lena will be hosting the 1st annual Taste of Fall. As part of the Oconto County Barn Quilt tour, an amateur barbeque cook-off and the best potato salad contest hosted by the Wooden Shoe will be a main part of the event. Over 30 crafters and vendors will display their wares and creations for you. The Lena Volunteer Fire Department will have their famous chicken booyah. And if your tummy still has room, there will be pie and ice cream, Carmel apples, deep fried cheese curds, pork plate and a back sale. A blacksmith demonstration will be done by Dennis Clark from DePere.  Bergeson Farms will have a fresh produce available also. You can view quilts that are displayed at the Lena Public Library and First Merit Bank. You have an opportunity to win a quilt at a raffle held at the following participating business: Wooden Shoe, Kugel’s Cheese, McGuire’s Sports Bar and Lena Lanes. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the great fall weather and food.
