Welcome to Lena

The Village of Lena is filled with great features and a rich history. The village has grown since it was known as Maple Valley to the first settlers in the area. The Village’s first fire bell is now displayed across from Citizens Bank located on Main Street in the Civic Club park.

Some of the local businesses include: Wagner’s Supermarket, Citizens Bank, Maple Valley Insurance, several restaurants and taverns, and the well known Kugel’s Cheese Mart. A few years ago, one of the town’s largest industries was devastated by a large fire. Since then, Frigo’s (later called Stella and now Saputo Cheese USA) has grown to become one of the county’s largest employers known worldwide. We are also very proud of the new CMH Primary Care Clinic.

For recreation, people in this village enjoy hunting, fishing, and sports. Lena School District includes Lena Public Schools. The high school is technologically advanced and fully equipped with many benefits such as the TRITON Network (distance learning) which allows students to take classes offered at other schools via interactive cameras and microphones. The school enrollment on average is 450 students.

One of the community’s highlights includes Dairyfest, an annual community celebration in early September. The event includes a parade and many family activities.

Only a half-hour away from Green Bay, Lena serves as a nice getaway and an ideal relocation away from city life. Anyone driving through Lena is encouraged to stop and take advantage of the small town atmosphere. So come visit the friendly community and enjoy the scenery.
