Welcome to the Village of Lena, WI

sign

The Village of Lena is filled with great features and a rich history. The village has grown a bit since it was known as Maple Valley to the first settlers in the area. The population from the 2010 census is 564.

Lena is home to several businesses, including Oconto County’s largest employer, Saputo Cheese USA. We have a medical clinic, restaurants, gas stations, auto service centers, auto parts store, hunting & fishing supplies shop & archery range, bowling alley, insurance offices, bank, taverns, heating & cooling supplies & service, cheese store, hairdresser, churches, school, daycare centers, police department & fire department.

One of the community’s highlights includes Dairyfest, an annual celebration held in early September each year to honor the farming history of this region. This family-friendly event includes a parade, truck & tractor pulls, food vendors, music, classic car show, petting zoo and bouncers for the kids. All of the events are free!

Only a half-hour away from Green Bay, Lena serves as a nice getaway and an ideal place to get away from big city life. Anyone driving through Lena is encouraged to stop and take advantage of the small town atmosphere. So come visit the friendly community and enjoy the scenery.
